At 94, Donna Maddox has done something most people only dream about—racing around the Michigan International Speedway in a Ferrari at 150 miles per hour. It was the ride of a lifetime, but it was more than just a thrill for Donna. It was proof that age doesn’t have to slow you down.
Driving on a professional racetrack has been a dream of hers for years. Donna was determined to make it happen in a Ferrari or Bugatti. Her recent experience at the Speedway made her realize that dream. It’s a powerful reminder that age is just a number for following your passions.
This experience was brought to life through a unique initiative at her retirement community, Waltonwood Twelve Oaks, in Novi, just outside of Detroit. Their Adventure Program inspires residents to follow their dreams and offers support to help turn them into reality.
